2020 In Review

Wow...2020 has been a really shitty year! I must admit that I did lose some motivation during the pandemic. It is hard to be creative when you know the whole world is shut down. It has just been a strange year...it almost feels like we are living inside a bad movie! Can the credits PLEASE just roll now!?!?

Even though this year was insanely stupid, I did end up participating in and event planning some cool fashion projects! Jen, from Wanderlust, and I got to put together a physical fashion show right before the national shut down. It was our 1st REVIVAL Fashion Show. We had a handful of designers and models take part in this show. It was by far my favorite one to date – planning can always be taxing, but the outcome was so worth it! And it was amazing to see our community come together to support us! It was a packed show– we could not have asked for anything better.

During the national shut down, we got together and put on a virtual fashion show that went live on social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Snap Chat. We had close to 1K views! I absolutely LOVED this show....it was simple and fun.

I also got asked to participate in The Supply Hive’s Upcycled Show – this was a pre-recorded fashion show that included designers who upcycled and reproduced their fashion garments. That was so inspiring to be a part of. I hope there are more events like this in the future.

Now with the year ending, it is good to reflect back on the things I’ve gotten to do – I’m so ready to move forward and make 2021 better. More fashion events that include physical and virtual audiences! Fingers crossed we can get REVIVAL back out there for another show here soon!

XOXO
